Laëtitia Galea holds a Master (MSc.) in Material Science from EPFL with a specialization in materials for biomedical applications (2008). She worked as a scientific collaborator and then as a project manager at RMS Foundation (Bettlach, SO), first in the Biomechanics Group and later in the Skeletal Substitutes Group. In 2015, she completed her PhD degree on bio-inspired structured composites for load-bearing bone graft substitution. She then worked in the medical device industry and gained experience in particular in industrialization, market access, regulatory affairs and quality management. She is currently working as a project manager at the Biomedical Engineering lab, Bern University of Applied Sciences.
