Doris Kopp is the head of the Social and Preventive Medicine Library at the University of Bern. Her main work consists of managing the library, teaching information literacy skills and providing direction on the use of medical databases to undergraduate medical students and MPH resp. PhD students. In 1996, she received her diploma as a librarian and a few years later specialized in reference librarianship. After studies and internships in the U.S. and New Zealand, she joined the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine in 2006.
