Wilhelm Wimmer received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering (focus on Bioimaging and Bioinstrumentation) from Graz University of Technology, Austria, and the Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Bern, Switzerland in 2015. After one year as a postdoctoral fellow, he became the Group Head for the Hearing Research Laboratory of the ARTORG Center at the University of Bern in 2017. His research aims at advancing current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to hearing loss and tinnitus and covers topics in Experimental Audiology, Medical Image Analysis, and Computer-Assisted Ear Surgery (Cochlear Implantation).
