Since 2018, Patrik Arnold has been professor of physics and computer science at the Bern University of Applied Science, division of micro- and medical technology, OptoLab.
In 2008, he received a Master's degree in Physics from the University of Bern and in 2012 the Ph.D. degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Basel in the field of 3D image processing and image-guided therapy.
After a few years in industry working as a software engineer, he successfully completed a 4 years tenure-track professorship in 2018. The current research at OptoLab is in the field of computational imaging with the main area in Optical Coherence Tomography.
