He received his diploma in Micro-Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, EPF Lausanne, in 1995. He first worked at the ETH in Zurich in the field of Scanning Near field Optical Microscopy. He then joined the Institute of Microsystems at EPFL in 1997, where he wrote his PhD in the field of magnetic pressure sensors. From 2001 to 2010, he worked at Colibrys SA in Neuchâtel. There he led several projects in the field of MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes.
In 2010, he joined the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Biel. He teaches lectures on sensor systems, biomedical sensors, analog electronics in micro and medical technology.
