Prof. Dr. Nicolas Diehm, MBA, graduated from Heidelberg University, Germany, in 2003 and is director of interventional angiology and vice-chairman of angiology at Kantonsspital Aarau, Switzerland. He holds a professorship at the university of Bern and is involved in experimental research and teaching activities at the Institute for Surgical Technology and Biomechanics (ISTB), University of Bern (collaboration with PD Dr. Philippe Büchler).
He completed the Cook Research Scholarship at Baptist Cardiac and Vascular Institute, Miami, USA, in 2007. Besides his interest in endovascular device design, his previous research focus contained various aspects of endovascular therapy for both claudicants and patients with critical limb ischemia.
Dr. Diehm has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and serves as a reviewer for many cardiovascular research journals.
