Prof. em. Dr. Andreas Stahel

Andreas Stahel is professor for Mathematics at the Bern University of Applied Sciences. He received his Diploma and Doctorate from the University of Zürich, Switzerland in 1983 and 1987. From 1987 to 1990 he worked as a Postdoc at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah. From 1990 to 1992 he held the position of Assistant Professor at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. His research work was in the field of partial differential equations, using linear and nonlinear functional analysis. In 1992 Andreas Stahel joined the Bern University of Applied Sciences, in Biel. He is mainly teaching Mathematics to future engineers. Currently his main interest is mathematical modelling.
