This English master's program in Biomedical Engineering is offered in cooperation with the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) and is closely affiliated to the Institute for Surgical Technology and Biomechanics (ISTB) and the ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research. It is a focused and state-of-the-art educational program in engineering and the life sciences which promotes scientific discovery and development of novel biomedical technologies.

The Biomedical Engineering Day is a career and research day. It takes places once a year in Bern and is an excellent opportunity to meet representatives of Swiss and international medical technology companies as well as the biomedical engineers of the University of Bern and our partner the Bern University of Applied Sciences.

Master's Thesis Presentations
Before graduation, students have to give a talk on their thesis project. Interested persons are cordially invited to attend these public presentations.
The BME Club brings together the biomedical engineering alumni of the University of Bern, currently enrolled students, and representatives from the medical technology industry. It will serve as a unique platform for professional lifelong communication and networking.
Trip to MEDICA 2017
Every year in November, the BME Club organizes a trip to MEDICA, the world’s largest medtech trade fair. Students of the BME master’s program should seize the chance to gain an impression of the size and scope of the medtech industry. Our timetables account for the absence of so many students by keeping these two days free of courses.
